Larkspur

Close-knit suburbia fostering community

Welcome to LARKSPUR

This nostalgic Bay Area community is nestled between Greenbrae and Corte Madera near Mount Tamalpais. This welcoming neighborhood has a knack for making everyone feel at home. Delightfully quiet but well within reach of the city across the Golden Gate Bridge, Larkspur overflows with small-town charm. Real estate in the area is largely defined by single-family dwellings with a quaint, country feel that’s perfect for this woodland neighborhood. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Larkspur is a haven for foodies, and its eclectic eateries offer something for even the pickiest eaters. A walk down Magnolia Avenue will bring you face-to-face with the town’s hippest shops, cafés, and restaurants. California cuisine gets a farm-fresh twist at FARMSHOP, where you’ll find upscale dining in rustic-chic digs. Their open-concept kitchen gets diners close to the heart of the action as chefs craft wood-fired pizzas, while a seat on their patio creates a romantic atmosphere for a dinner for two. Enjoy a taste of French cuisine at Left Bank. This bustling brasserie pays homage to the south side of Paris on the left bank of the River Seine, where philosophers, artists, and writers congregate. Their menu reflects that bohemian spirit, and their selections change seasonally to ensure the freshest ingredients available. Perry’s on Magnolia serves exquisite American fares in their elegant dining room and on their tree-lined patio. For a Californian twist on Italian cuisine, head to Picco. Located in Downtown Larkspur, this restaurant boasts a full-service bar, a stunning menu, and a beautiful patio in the redwoods. Attached Pizzeria Picco makes Picco’s famous Neapolitan-style pizzas available to-go.

Just west of Larkspur Creek, Dawn Falls Trail is a beautiful hiking route through the forest’s old-growth trees, veering past waterfalls and hillsides. The pathway is manageable even for children, which makes for a great afternoon in the fresh air. Marin Country Mart is a shopping center where locals can find upscale brand names, boutique apparel retailers, and plenty of extravagant dining options for indoor and outdoor eating. On Saturday mornings, Marin Country Mart hosts a farmer’s market, where residents can purchase locally-grown produce and handmade artisanal goods. The market is held year-round from 9 AM to 2 PM, so locally-sourced food and goods are always readily available. The Lark Theater is a restored Art Deco cinema that screens classic films and Old Hollywood favorites as well as hosting a film festival and featuring independent films.
